VH-500 and VH-500T railway car shakers are pneumatic vibration systems designed to decrease loading/unloading times of bulk materials from hopper railcars of different modifications. In humid conditions or as temperatures drop, bulk materials tend to clump together and stick to railcar body, making unloading difficult. The vibration systems allow to completely unload bulk materials such as coal, coke, lignite, iron ore and wood chips several times faster. Besides, it increases a railcar capacity during loading of low density bulk materials. High amplitude and low frequency vibrations of the railcar shaker are far more effective and powerful than the high frequency rotational vibration used in other railcar shakers.

The operating principals of the design allow for efficient influence of material in the railcars with low stress to the rail car structure. An impact hammer, a pneumatic positioning cylinder and a heavy duty steel frame are protected against corrosion and can work in aggressive environment.  The car shakers are easily managed by one operator. Controls can be stationed in the air preparation unit mounted on a frame. Shaker’s controls can be stationed in the air preparation unit mounted on a frame or at a remote location (option). With its 180^o rotating head VH-500T allows to unload bulk materials from two railcars on parallel tracks.
